Information about Hamilton Watch Company
Hamilton Watch Company life line can be traced back to 1874 and the
Adams & Perry Watch Company. In 1877 they became Lancaster Pennsylvania Watch. In 1883 Hamilton was known as Lancaster Watch Company, and then in 1886 became Keystone Standard Watch Company. Finally, in 1893, the first Hamilton movement was produced by the Hamilton Watch Company. The Hamilton movements gained popularity with the railroad men, and by 1923 over half of the production were fine quality railroad watches. Hamilton is still in operation in Lancaster, PA.
